The 45th Annual Conference of the Australian and NZ Architectural Science Association
2011: From principles to practice in architectural science
The University of Sydney is proud to be hosting the 45th Annual Conference of the Australian and New Zealand Architectural Science Association from November 17 to 19, 2011. The 2011 Conference, "From principles to practice in architectural science" will feature a two day conference on the 17th and 18th, with each refereed paper presented in person by the author either as a poster or as an oral presentation. Workshops are planned for the 19th. The conference will be organised around a combination of plenary, parallel, poster presentations, with keynote presentations each day at selected times. Welcome drinks evening (Wednesday) and a conference dinner (Thursday) will round out a busy program. The Conference will draw attention to the applied research purpose of ANZAScA and its place in relation to both the teaching and practice of architecture and related disciplines. Applied research can bridge the intra-disciplinary gap between research and practice as well as bring cross-disciplinary edginess and relevance to the borders of architectural science. For this reason paper submissions from associated areas of knowledge or disciplines are recognized as bringing rich connections and are therefore particularly encouraged.
For example:
- Environmental and Earth Science
- Construction Technology
- Urban Studies
- Landscape Architecture
Design Education
- Sustainability issues
- Computer Science.
All abstracts and papers will be reviewed double-blind refereed by the Editorial Board.
